August Consortium Meeting Follow-Up

We hope you were able to join our August 10th Consortium Meeting on Community Organizing and Local Government! Veteran Community Organizer Karen May presented us with a how-to of community organizing. We had a panel of Baldwin Park Mayor Emmanuel Estrada and Glendora Mayor Karen Davis that discussed how to have the most impact with local government.   • The September 14th Consortium Meeting will be run by the LA County Homeless Initiative as their Community Input Session for their 2023-24 Budget Priorities. This meeting will take the full 9-11am timeframe. Please watch for more information.

  • Elections for the LA County Continuum of Care Board will take place for SPA 3 in October. Nominations forms will be available in September. We will keep you informed.

  • There will be a Back-to-School vaccination in Covina event this Saturday, August 13th from 10am to 2pm. For more information, please see this flyer.

Remember, our next meeting, Wednesday, September 14th from 9-11am will feature the Homeless Initiative Community Input Session on their Budget Priorities for 2023-24. Stay tuned for more information! We hope to see you there!
